This is Andy's Grandma Schembs' recipe. She lived on a farm in Indiana and was a great home cook. This is a favorite in his family.

Yields1 Serving

1 cup sugar

4 tbsp flour

⅛ tsp salt

½ tsp nutmeg

1 ½ cups whipped cream

1 tbsp butter

½ tsp vanillaprobably need more..

1 Unbaked pie shell

Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg salt. Add cream, beat well. Add melted butter and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 300 degrees and bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set. Stir 3-4 times with rubber spatula during the cooking time. Be careful not to tear the crust.
