This is Aunt Naomi's recipe for berry jam, I usually make it with strawberries but you can use any type of berries. It tastes fresh and will make you not ever want to buy store boughten jam again!

 3 cups crushed berries
 5 ½ cups sugar
 1 package of fruit pectin
 1 cup water

Mix crushed berries with sugar, and let stand for 20-30 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Meanwhile, stir the pectin into the water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, and boil for 1 minute. Stir the boiling water into the strawberries and let stand for 3 minutes before pouring into jars for storage. Let cool and freeze for later or refridgerate.
