This cake is really moist and very rich.

Cake -
 2 cups Flour
 2 cups Sugar
 1 tsp Soda
 ¼ tsp Salt
 4 tbsp Cocoa
 1 cup Butter
 1 cup Water
 ½ cup Buttermilk
 2 Eggs
 1 tsp Vanilla
Frosting
 ½ cup butter
 4 tbsp cocoa
  cup milk or buttermilk
 1 tsp vanilla
 1 lb powdered sugar
 ½ cup chopped pecansTop cake with frosting then 1/2 c chopped pecans.
To make cake -

Combine cocoa, shortening, butter and water. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. Beat by hand. Mix eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add this to batter. Blend. Pour into sheet cake pan. You can use any size of pan you want. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes.

*If you use a 18x 13" jelly roll pan, the cake will turn out more like cakey brownies and is so good!

Frosting -

While cake is baking, in saucepan bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat add sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Spread over hot cake. Sprinkle with pecans.
