Divinity is traditionally a Christmas Candy and is a cross between fudge, nougat and meringue. It is very sweet.
Boil sugar, salt and water until it forms a hard ball. Put marshmallow cream into a small mixer bowl and pour hot syrup over it. Continue to beat until slightly stiff (holds a peak). Fold in nuts and vanilla and drop from spoon onto waxed paper. Other flavors and corresponding colors may be used.
